carlos Chimborazo & Elena Krougliak
C-los Studio is a high-touch design and woodcraft practice specializing in custom millwork, built-in cabinetry, and timeless interiors. Founded by master woodworker Carlos Chimborazo and designer Elena Krougliak, the studio is shaped by years of experience across fine dining, construction, and interiors. Their shared language is one of form, rhythm, and restraint that is expressed through tailored millwork, enduring built-ins, and spaces that feel both refined and resolved.
Their work begins with respect: for material, for context, and for the quiet intelligence of well-made things. Building not to decorate, but to compose environments that feel inevitable—rooted in tradition, refined through experience, and tailored to the way people live. Each piece is an extension of their values: clarity, hospitality, and uncompromising craftsmanship. No repetition. No rushing. Working by hand, and in close dialogue with their clients, they go through a process that is as intentional as the outcome.
Though they focus on millwork and creating custom residential projects, their shared love of woodcraft means that they always enjoy coming back to how the business started: making small objects such as cutting boards and bowls, and collaborating with fine dining restaurants to create servingware pieces. Like most of the other makers, both Carlos and Elena have a strong background working in hospitality, and they always aim to continue working on creating pieces that chefs and restaurateurs can use to create unforgettable dining experiences for their guests.
